Small Buisness Spotlight: Osha Thai

Looking for your next unforgettable meal in Napa Valley? Let me introduce you to Osha Thai, a hidden gem that blends incredible flavors with the charm of wine country.”

This downtown Napa Thai restaurant really wowed me recently. This elevated, fresh take on Thai cuisine is presented beautifully with substantial portions to satisfy you after a day of wine tastings.

In a sea of French, Italian, and Mexican cuisine, the flavor profile of Osha Thai is diverse, yet accessible.

 The Atmosphere & Setting
The restaurant exudes a luxurious and comfortable ambiance. The wall art is beautiful and I was mesmerized throughout the meal by the hanging art. A nice note is they have fresh flowers on every table – an elegant touch I particularly appreciate.

We were able to call ahead on a Wednesday for a same-day table for 8 at lunch. There were a few other diners, but we felt well taken care of.

The Menu & Must-Try Dishes
This menu features delicious international dishes presented in a familiar and comforting flavor profile.

I enjoyed the best yellow curry of my life at this meal. I also loved the Volcanic beef. For full transperancy, I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee. The presentation was lovely – 2 glasses in a beautiful gold carrier, but when I tried to pour the coffee over the ice, I spilled EVERYWHERE. I think this is user error, but wanted to highlight that experience. I gave up and just drank the coffee straight. The coffee itself was delicious.

Service & Experience
The service was friendly, kind, attentive and prompt. One thing I always pay attention to that indicates to me a level of service detail is water service. I appreciate when my glass is always full, and that was definitely the case here.

Insider Tips & Recommendations

For a coconut curry, I particularly enjoy an off-dry German Riesling, Gewürztraminer, or a lighter-bodied Pinot Noir. These wines can complement the creamy richness and spice of the dish while creating a balance of flavor.
The also feature a happy hour from 5pm-7pm, which is a great option to have available after work for drinks with friends.

Why You Should Visit

This restaurant really impressed me, and I’ve dined at MANY Napa restaurants. I think they are a great addition to the downtown Napa food scene. Since they’re not on 1st Street, you may miss this hidden gem, but it is definitely worth making the trip.

Whether you want a fun, new date night, a celebration, or a casually delicious elevated meal after a day of wine tasting, this will definitely be your new favorite restaurant in town.
